My family of 7 ranging in age from 10-92 enjoyed our stay. The house was as promised. The directions for getting to the property were spot on. Definitely need to turn on 17th street and not follow GPS. Instructions for getting into the house were excellent. The property manager was very nice when I phoned to ask about where to leave towels since it was not indicated on the instructions. Maybe this should be added to leave towels in bathroom when leaving. A couple of suggestions: The large slider in the kitchen/breakfast room needs a curtain. It is total open and at night you are very exposed to anyone outside. It also lets anyone looking in a view of the main floor bedroom. Since it was cold one of the nights we were there, we bought steaks to grill out and stay in. The gas grill didn’t have propane enough to cook the steaks. If this is going to be available and offered to guests, it should be filled regularly and checked often to be sure it can be used. It would have been helpful to have a listing of local channels that were available to watch on TV. We tried to get several and they were not part of the package the homeowner is paying for. A list of available channels would have been helpful along with an explanation of which remotes to use for what. Since Tybee is new to us, a listing of local and/or recommended restaurants would have been nice. The kitchen table needs to be scrubbed and scrubbed again. We wiped it down before using and after using and it never got really clean. Always felt a little sticky and when dried, paper towel was always dirty. I would have cleaned it thoroughly but didn’t want to scrub so hard I marred the table – definitely not really scrubbed clean in a while – just wiped down. Carpet is a little dated but at the beach you expect that with all the sand being brought in. Might add a cookie sheet for baking cookies while visiting. All in all a great time. We would definitely stay here again and is a great place for a group of friends to stay.
